In 1978, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges granted the LHSOC accreditation. Since then, the maximum accreditation has been granted with each review. After an extensive on-site review in 2001, WASC once again gave its highest recommendation to LHS: a six-year accreditation. LHSOC is also accredited by the National Lutheran Schools Accreditation Organization.
